2024 Summer Camps and Show

Debut Summer Storytellers:

Welcome to the Theatre! A camp for budding performers entering kindergarten and 1st grade! Students will learn the “art of storytelling” by being introduced to daily games in voice, movement, rhythm, using and expressing emotions, and basic stage direction. We will be using our imaginations, practicing working together as a team, getting very silly, and making new friends! Zero pressure or experience required for this gentle and fun introduction to the magic of the theatre!

About Jill

Jill is elated to join the StageDoor community! Having grown up in a theatre environment similar to StageDoor,she graduated with a BA in Performance Theatre from Fordham University at Lincoln Center  in New York City, and has handful of Off-Broadway credits under her belt as an actor, including the 30 th Anniversary production of HAIR! Here in Colorado, Jill began teaching the early childhood worldwide program Music Together in 2009 and went on to receive all advanced certifications in the program with over a thousand teacher hours. A private ukelele and guitar teacher specializing in beginner’s skills, Jill has had the great privilege of instructing ages 4-74 and loves witnessing family music makers and children thrive in finding great joy and belonging in the arts and beyond.

 

 

Choose Your Own Adventure, for Students entering Grades 2-5

This week-long performing arts camp is designed to help children discover and develop their own unique talents.  Kids will explore dance, movement, music, and acting, including improvisation.  The kids will have their chance to shine at the end of the camp when they perform for family and friends. 

 

No experience necessary!!
July 15-19 from 9am-3pm

Imagination Station, for Students entering Grades 2-5

Our emphasis will be on self-expression, cooperative learning, and creativity, with a focus on improvisation.   Workshops, theatre games and other activities will help them build community, make new friends, and have lots of fun!  We will celebrate the week with a special showcase for family and friends on the final day of camp. 

 

No experience necessary!!
July 22-26, from 9am-3pm

GREASE
