Show Information:
Cosmic Curve is a smart funny evening of one act plays,
four in number, which show mere mortals coping with the
sliders, spit balls and other change-ups that the universe
pitches at them. The theme is adaptation as the familiar
and the bizarre challenges that beset the characters are
creatively fielded and overcome.
First, in "Chapter Twelve: The Frog", by John Pielmeier,
and directed by Fran Arniotes, two high school biology
classmates dissect more than a pickled amphibian. Fritz
Homann makes his directorial debut with the remaining
roster: In "Sure Thing" and "The Philadelphia" by David
Ives, friends and other strangers find roadblocks and
strategies around them in their quest for fulfillment.
Robert Anderson's "I'm Herbert" introduces us to two
oldsters trying to adapt to an interminable senior moment
as their long lives and multiple marriages prove too
complicated to keep straight. Weird and wonderful, this
line-up of plays featuring Lisa Brent, Juliette Petersen,
Nicholas Maurer, Gavin Maurer, Fran Arniotes, Steve
Russell and Christina Winslow will have you leaving the
theatre smiling.
