Beginning Watercolor Classes for All Ages!

All classes will be held over 4 Tuesdays in June (June 8, 15, 22, and 29).
Class 1: CHILDREN Ages 6 TO 10
Time: 10 a.m.—Noon
Class 1: Children
Ages 6 - 10
Time: 10 a.m. - Noon
 

Class 2: Youth
Ages 11 - 15
Time: 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

 

Students will transfer or draw simple pictures, and paint them using watercolor, pens, and watercolor pencils. All children's pictures will be sent home matted in cellophane cover.

Fees: $56 for 4 weeks, plus $20 material fee (includes all supplies needed for class)

 

Class 3: Adults

Time: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

 

Class 4: Ages 15 - Adult

Time: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

 

Students will learn how to transfer a picture to watercolor paper using a grid; trace and transfer to watercolor paper; hand draw an easy landscape picture Various techniques such as stippling, spattering, spraying color, pouring color, letting color paint itself, masking, watercolor pencils, ink pens, as well as regular painting with various size brushes. There will be many more techniques demonstrated as needed. We will complete one 5 x 7 painting per lesson, an abstract, a flower, a landscape, and a seascape. Matts and cellophane covers will be for sale at classes at cost price.

Other Important Information:

· No experience required!

· Camps are filled on a first come, first served basis.

· We require a minimum number of students to be registered for each session in order for it to run. Refunds will be made in full if a session does not reach the minimum required number of students.

· There will be a $25 charge for all returned checks.

· Camp content will be tweaked to meet the needs of our campers.

· (For parents) Out of respect for our instructors, students need to be picked up from camp and workshops promptly.  We reserve the right to apply additional charges if students are not picked up in a timely manner.

· (For parents) Please sign your student in and out on a daily basis and provide us with a telephone number where you or other emergency person can be reached while your child is at StageDoor.

 

Behavior Expectations:

· All students are expected to participate in all camp or workshop activities.

· In order to insure a great experience for all, disrespectful behavior to other students, instructors, or StageDoor Theatre property will not be tolerated.

· Students will be given an opportunity to correct any inappropriate behavior.  If a student is unable to correct their behavior, they will not be permitted to return to camp and tuition will not be refunded.
