She teaches voice privately and serves as Artistic Director for Altezza Chamber Chorale.
Arlene Pellegrino, Watercolor Instructor: Arlene is a newcomer to Stage Door, singing in the Chorale. She has always been interested in the arts, having done a 5 year stint acting in tutorial films, commercials, and some Hollywood films as an ex- tra. She had a 30 year career as a piano teacher, teaching the rational methods, and inventing a quick chord method that was received as a miracle by many hundreds of students who had struggled with traditional methods. She studied art history in college and has worked in various media over the years, starting with oil painting, where she was a regular, selling at art fairs. More recently, Arlene has turned to watercolor, teaching classes in it on cruise ships all over the world. The challenge was teaching huge classes to people who had never painted or did not know how to draw at all. The results were fantastic. A step by step method for beginners produced paintings that were good enough for an art show at the end of each cruise that brought many great comments from other passengers.
